Kelsey Bryant Starr

I began practicing yoga when my mom mailed me some Yoga for Dummies DVDs while living in Singapore - for “off days” from running.  Over the next few years, I fell in love with the practice because it changed my relationship with my body and myself.  I wasn’t trying to punish myself with movement anymore. I’m curious about how we can move our bodies in more ways to enjoy moving through life with more options.

I’ve studied extensively with Ana Hough in Ann Arbor (Prana Vinyasa 200hr) and continued with national teachers Christina Sell and Gioconda Parker at the San Marcos School of Yoga (300hr).  I’ve done trainings in yoga for fertility and hormone support and love the work of Katy Bowman (biomechanist, Nutritious Movement founder). I started teaching in 2014, opened Numi Yoga in College Park from 2016-2021 and have been teaching on and off since then around kids and life.

I live in University Park with my husband, Evan, my three wild kids, and a loving old pup named Argo. When we aren’t at kids’ sports, we love to hike and play outside!
